During this week at SFO the children in grades 3-8 worked together on a project where they learned about the UN. This was done as an introduction to the school-wide United Nations Day that will take place later in October.
The children were split into groups and asked to complete two tasks: either drawing and coloring the flags of all the countries they could think of, or create a mind-map with the continents and countries of the world. The tasks seemed challenging at first as the children had only their memory to work from, but after a few minutes they were allowed to do some research in books and then continue their projects.
